Race Classes

Class one/Junior Saloon

is a front wheel drive saloon which consists of car types such as a Mini, Micra, Yaris, Peugeot 106, Citroen AX, Saxo, Citroen C1, Peugeot 107 and Toyota Aygo. Juniors can race these cars from ages 10-16 in their own class called Junior saloons. 

Class two

is a front wheel drive saloon or a hatchback vehicle, fitted as standard, which only has two valves per cylinder. Engine must not exceed 1300CC. 

Class three

Must be a front engined, rear wheel driven, modified saloon over 1421CC. Class 3 have many different types of cars from both classic and modern saloons to hatchbacks.

 

Class four

is the smallest capacity modified engine class. The car can be front or rear wheel drive and the shell can either be a saloon, hatchback or pickup. The engine must be at a maximum of 1130CC. 

Class five

is typically a mini pickup which must only have 2 valves per cylinder with a minimum of 1131CC but must not exceed 1420CC. Class 5 does have a small CC but they are still high performance cars with unlimtied modifications allowed. 

Class six

is a front wheel drive saloon, sports saloon or specified dual-purpose vehicle. This class has an unlimited CC but must be a single car engine with modifications allowed. Turbo/Superchargers are allowed within this class. 

Class seven

is the class which is known for being called the super saloons! Rear wheel drive unlimted CC and unlimited modifications meaning some incredibly fast racing. Engines range from V8's, turbos, super chargers and twin motorbike engines. 

Junior Specials

are a single seater race vehicle designed for the younger racers to participate within autograss. The engine, gearbox and certain suspension components specified as being provided from a named donor vehicle. These speicals use a 1.2 litre Vauxhall Corsa engine. These can also be raced by 10-16 year olds.

Class eight, nine and ten

is what we call the specials. They are defined by being a single seater, open wheeled and purpose-built racing vehicle for autograss. Each special has their own specification which makes them different from one another. 

F600/Junior F600

is another form of the specials class which can be raced by both adults and juniors. Juniors must be 14-16 years old to compete in this class. F600 is a limited class of 600CC motorbike engine and open wheeled rear wheel drive. 

Stockhatch

is a front wheel drive hatchback vehicle with an engine that has only two valves per cylinder. Stockhatch is a limited class of 1600CC with very limited modifications permitted. Citroen Saxo/AX/C2 and Vauxhall Corsa/Nova are vehicles that make up the Stockhatch class.
